Beading, Snowmen and Cool Techniques

Wow, this took me longer than I thought! I wanted to try something a la Mel ;^) from Mel Stampz fame. And I wanted to learn to bead. So here is the result.....a little gift basket with beads and fringes. I will walk through what I have done and give you the link to Mel's far more beautiful version.
The snowy hill is made from white cardstock with CTMH December Word Puzzle collaged and embossed in white in the background. I highlighted the Merry Christmas with YG21 copic and beaded around the edges (thanks Mel for the hints and help. I then sewed the edges of the hill for more texture.
I then cut out a toboggan shape and coloured a white ribbon with the YG21 to match, added a bead and glued it down.
The lime green background is white cardstock stamped with an old stampin up alphabet block and coloured with that same marker.

My snowman is from a CTMH build a snowman set, embossed and cut out. The top two balls are raised up for extra dimension. I also used my C1 gray marker to create some shading on the edges. His scarf is from that same set only I cut the fringes off and used double sided tape to add a yarn fringe.
If you follow Mels tutorial here, she poked holes through the background, so I tried that, but it doesn't show up in the picture.
