Moose be time to play :)

Finally had a chance to play again. I just bought a bunch of new stamps from clear dollar stamps and have been itching to use them. I got the Garden Sheet from Rare Image Rubber Stamps too, which I want to get using (see the little Robin on the nest?)I love her artistry! However I needed to get some Birthday cards done that cried out for this little moose. For these cards, I used my cuttlebug and nesties, the metal strip is a coffee can seal run through the cuttlebug and embossing folder. hmmm, what did I forget to mention? oh yah...inside the sentiment is 'it moose be time for another birthday' with pine trees and ferns in the background (stamped)

Acetate Play

This card was created for an anniversary and in response to the cuttlebug challenge on their blog. The front is acetate embossed with my cuttlebug folder and the letters are cut out from the CB as well and glued on the front of the acetate with flowers and bling attached :) The tulips at the bottom are CTMH...I love that stamp! I punched holes at the top to attach the acetate to the inside of the card, greeting behind the tulips on the inside. It didn't scan well to show the acetate, but I love this technique!

Valentines Tin

I finally had a chance to sit and play with the new techniques that Pat shared in the technique junkies newsletter! I created this tin topper for a tin that I found at the dollar store. This one is stamped with my brother in mind :) I used the brayer tapping technique for the background colour and the block collage technique for the stamping. All stamps are CTMH as are the inks (which matched the tin's red perfectly :)) The ribbon is CTMH as well! I can't wait to make more of these to hide little brownies in...
It does feel plain to me, any suggestions to jazz it up a bit?? I am a bit challenged when it comes to the finishing touches, alas....something I am trying to work on!

100 things that make me happy

I challenged a friend to a scrapbook layout of 100 things that make you happy...I challenge any of you that read this to do this as well...even if you are strictly a card'ie....make a list and scrap it..I will try to upload mine,if I ever get it done, lol, I seem to be making a habit of getting photos down and not finishing the layout with the final touches or title, etc....I am trying to go back over completed pages and actually finish them up!

sarah kay

I made this card for a challenge, but never got it uploaded in time...the inside has a corner flourish and says 'you hold the key to my heart'...The stamp is Sarah Kay,The saying is from Close to My Heart (on the inside)the lacing is hemp.....

Valentines Card

I created this card for my Valentines card, I don't know who the bug stamp is from, but it's coloured in with twinks...My, how I love those :)The background is close to my heart...one of the background stamps I stamped a bunch of from a friend and now don't have the name for...The ribbon is from the dollar store ;)
